Yeah I'm playing Jedi on a fairly beefy PC and still having some graphical issues pop up every now and then.
Great game though, I love the maze like map design and random bosses.

Valve just announced half life 3 VR. I’m amazed it’s actually happening after all this time tbh. Could be the Mario64 moment for VR.

You'd be sick as a fucking dog playing that game in VR!

You'd be sick as a fucking dog playing that game in VR! Valve VR headsets are different in that you physically move around a room yourself rather than it being simulated with you sitting in a chair which stops the VR sickness (since your vestibular system isn't being conned by a difference between your ear fluid and eyes). However, this kinda makes it rather limited in that you need a giant living room you can clear out to move around and clearly doesn't work for some open world style game. I would have thought Portal 3 would have been a more logical choice than Half Life since the game is about you solving a series of room sized puzzles. Still, I'd not bet against Valve though - they have the resources and expertise to take their time and make sure something is done right and are definitely pioneers in the VR field.

Google Stadia looking very good in development. And the explanation their main engineer has given around video streams, lag and ping times is fairly convincing imo. The proof will be in the pudding and whether they can get the bits down the pipe across the network. Looks rad though I have to say. 60fps @ 4k off a dedicated AMD GPU In the cloud? Definitely the future. Millsy with his finger on the pulse as always.

There aren't any games worth while buying, which is a massive fail for a launch like this.
Anyone know when Somerville is out?

Also the Index has is a 120hz refresh rate which fixes motion sickness for a lot of users, myself included. One valve employee recently did an entire talk on the work they’ve done to replicate opening and closing of doors in VR. Boring as fuck but hints at the level of detail they’ve been working towards with the physics for this game. They’ve literally spent years on it.

I reckon I'd last 15 minutes tops before I'd be sick.

I don't think lots of 3D and VR stuff is great for kids eyes, which makes up a big chunk of their audience.

Finished Divinity : Original Sin 2 last night. Good stuff. One for the hardcore / traditional RPG fans.

Finished Divinity : Original Sin 2 last night. Good stuff. One for the hardcore / traditional RPG fans. How many hours did that eat up? I'm enjoying RDR2 a lot more now mate. Got through the two families fighting part and enjoyed the final act of that a lot. I'm very much a casual gamer, so when I dip in and out I forget all the controls. I still have the same horse as I started with, can't be arsed to ride all the way to Valentine to buy a new one. The scale of the games nowadays is just incredible. I used to think Cruise for a Corpse or Lost World were amazing on the Amiga. Looking forward to Last of Us 2 and Cyberpunk, although the latter will doubtless be like RDR2 where I can't remember what's going on lol

Not for the faint hearted. Mind you, I like to try and do as much as possible during a first playthrough - I think you could cut a fair bit off it, if you didn't mind getting a shittier ending. Glad you're enjoying it mate - Chapters 5 & 6 are something really special so keep at it. Aye can't wait for both of those - Cyberpunk especially - made by the same team that made The Witcher 3 which is one of the best games of all time imo.

Witcher 3 is on my list. Might even buy a Switch for the train so I can give it a whirl.
