One story I forget is sometime around 2011, RedBull did some special music thing in the London Eye - different DJs in each pod - I got four tickets for The Weatherall - absolutely went off in there - he had some extraordinarily fit bird in tow. He played Todd Terje ‘Ragysh’ at the top - absolutely superb. From then on it went downhill a bit as I needed a piss so bad, it was all I could think about. Regretted those four pints in the boozer beforehand. Probably 12-15 people in there.

Heavenly Social @ Turnmills. Weatherall, Gayle San, Justin Roberston, Richard Fearless, Chemicals, Concrete Label, Funk d' Void, Dave Angel. David Holmes , Barry ashworth. Fuck Me, it might as well be the neolithic age to me now.

being in oz he didn't come here a lot but I got to see him once. proper shit all night.
his b2b with smagghe & pearson around 2010/11 got me onto the slower talabot style stuff I should have been listening to my whole life & finally found it.
fuck it. shattered.

The more direct tributes and anecdotes I read about him, the more the loss to dance music becomes apparent. He was clearly a genuine, humble and gracious bloke who gave his time selflessly to others all the time, hated the thought of celebrity DJ culture and was happy to pass on his encyclopedic knowledge of production and DJing to anyone who asked. Just read a quick one from Timothy Clerkin, AKA Heretic and one half of the Eskimo Twins. They're playing a summer festival (Eskimo Twins), Weatherall rocks up, asks if they are the Eskimo Twins, stands to attention and salutes them and then stands with them to chat and tell them he loves their music. Loads of others I'm connected to on Facebook also knew him as a close friend and they are all in bits because he was always happy to make time for everyone. It's shit.

I'll admit it, that eulogy got me
Still cant believe it was only 2.5 weeks ago that I was enjoying his fucking immense mixing & tune selection
Selfishly gutted that will be the last time

Just watching him reading a book whilst sat in a deck chair at Electric Elephant was funny, as it was going off behind him at the beach bar and he didn't give a fuck.
