Lol. You forgot all the treacles going weak at the knees when when top bantz swoons in every morning, handing out ham and cheese jambons from the local tesco express...

Mixing up WFH and working in an office is where it's at. That's how I've been working for years and it works for me. I wouldn't entertain anything else frankly, especially since my base is usually in London. I wouldn't be able to commute in every day without wanting to kill Mark Kermode on the 18.56 from Waterloo after a brace of particularly tepid and uninspiring train beers.

Working from once or twice a week is fine but I don't want to do it permanently. Miss the camaraderie as others have pointed out. and, mentioning no names, certain people have been less than appreciative of your top, top bantz of late and there's a whole office full of business transformation gurus who must miss it like crazy. Just wait until they cop an eyeful of the Nikes. 'What is he like! lol! Top trabb bantz!' I'm wasted working from home! The bants of new business (bantsness?) needs an office to ledgey von ledge it!

Can you bantz virtually? Maybe do a selfie of you hanging out the window of your flat to boost morale? Have a 'virtual coffee run' for your colleagues? Do a spot the difference with two photos, one of your trabbs and the other the immediate aftermath of a 20 car pile up on the M3?

I haven't worked or earned any money since the lockdown and can't wait to get back back and earn some money.

Can't see it, ed. We were hoping to get over for a long weekend then too but not holding out for that to happen.

My firm, and the industry I work in as a whole , wonβt be ready for the new normal for months . Hot desking, collaborative spaces , all the millions spent on getting offices up to date now looking a poor move in light of social distancing . We are all WFH for the foreseeable future.
Seems like Boris is letting us have a picnic though. How very British

WFH en masse will be bad for general mental health and well-being. I miss talking shit at work, I like quite a few of the people I work with and quite a few of my clients I see outside work. It's amazing how much money you save and I'm just talking buying shit, breakfast, lunch cans of Coke Zero etc - I cycle into work, so I'm not making that really massive saving with travel. Maybe WFH with less stress might be more attractive, but right now, it'll be the fucking death of me - I'm absolutely frazzled. Got another four day weekend coming up and I already really need it and I'll have only done three days this week. I miss the office big time... in fact we are going to implement teams live so that you can discuss stuff by voice all day long. As for Boris he can totally fuck off for getting us into this mess. The one thing that really shocked me this week was the Air Lingus flight article on the BBC... just staggering incompetence - How can it be that a government hasnβt told airlines not to run full flights.
