Fuck me, it’s a load of shite. I haven’t used it to find new music for ages, I’ve generally just been stealing tunes from other people’s mixes (sorry). How does anyone find good music on there?
Can someone point me in the direction of a better site please?

Juno.
Apologies. Got distracted. Put a fee tunes I like in Juno and their algorithms make suggestions.
Not perfect. But theres no algorithm that's a good replacement for a clued up bloke ina record shop .

I use the charts on there a lot. Probably the only way to navigate to certain tastes. I wouldn't use it to get exposed to new tunes though, shirley thats where you use Soundcloud and DJ mixes or the like, and then head to Beatport to pick them up? That’s what I currently do. There must be a more efficient way of finding new music that’s decent

It feels like cheating. I used to love the feeling of finding track I loved that no-one else had in a mix

Know what you're saying mate but never seem to have the time these days. Some of the artist's charts in Beatport are quite good- got a few bits off Patrice Baumel's one the other week. Off Juno lol

15 years of collecting artists and labels on your favorites, and then just searching through those. I have well over 500 on both. And whenever I find something good elsewhere (other mixes usually) I add the artist and or label.
Couldn't fathom searching the site blindly.

Try typing in dark disco, grant. If that fails try a KFT search.

Aswell as stealing all the best tracks from and mixes (and the "what are you listening to at the moment" thread) that pop up on here. I also keep a sad little spreadsheet of artists and labels i like and add to it whenever i find something new.
Saves trawling through loads of shit on beatport or wherever

Beatport has a feature where you can 'Follow' artists and labels. There's then an option to 'View All' on MyBeatport and it will give you a list of upcoming releases based on the artists and labels you're following.
