There are a couple of Job Jobse playlists where dudes have collated all the tracks heβs played in the Boiler Rooms and such, discovered some good stuff. Quite eclectic, and heβs not averse to playing some cheese in disco and trance, which I enjoyed.

Have given up on Spotify, advert central. Even on premium?

Paying to stream music seems so utterly odd. You don't think artists deserve money for what they're producing and the effort they've put in?

Think i've had Premium as a treat from Vodafone but even then i couldn't be bothered, probably just a mindset = Spotify & adverts

I like Apple Music, the quality is better than Spotify's 320kbps. I wish they'd launch lossless, mind.

Music is so cheap on iTunes India, Iβm just conditioned to buy all my music on there.
With unemployment however, I am appreciating Spotify and streaming. Itβs also dirt cheap here - $1.50 per month for an ad free subscription.

What's the average monthly salary in India, Rhouses?

Pretty low, Grant, but probably just enough to have a Spotify subscription!

Since Papa Rhouses' IPO, Jnr doesn't need to work a day in his life ever again. Β£478.93 in the black. Kerching!

Pretty low, Grant, but probably just enough to have a Spotify subscription! Minimum wage is Β£45 a month, average wage is Β£334 That $1.50 a month looks quite lumpy to a lot of people.

We love our illegal downloads as well, so I imagine that $1.50 is pretty ludicrous for a lot of people here.

Paying to stream music seems so utterly odd. i'm finding spotify playlists to be a good way to find new music and it works for me when i'm driving, which is a couple of hours a day usually. it's the same price as netflix for two of us and is way less than the $100-150/week i used to spend on records and cds. seems good value to me. Most of the playlists are crap. Best just making your own based on genre or whatever. What is actually quite good, though, is the 'Recommended'/'Discover' personalised recommendations based on the library of liked songs you build up. This has led me back to a load of old music I had forgotten about e.g. I've been doing a load of Tom Tom Club albums recently based on that.
