The first and last discs are excellent.

haven't finished the last one yet, but i like the middle two better. that said, minus the heaven scent and chutney remixes, plus a couple of other tracks, i have no reason to ever listen to this again. i thought the first mix was mostly terrible records.

it used to cost money to release music, creating a much more rigorous vetting system. it's no different than news media; the role of the editior as a gatekeeper to quality content has disappeared in favour of getting information out quickly.
personally .... i just listen to and make music i like. there's a lot of great amateur and professional music out there that's worth searching for and listening to. it has it's drawbacks, but i would've killed for music to be this readily available when i was 15 years old.
Democracies certainly come at a cost and have real downsides but I think on balance most of us prefer to make up our own minds given the choice.

Not sure if that Chutney remix is any good. Without a crazy breakdown, it's weaksauce. Sounds pretty standard, might sound better in a mix though.
The Heaven Scent remix is chiller, enjoyed it.

Yup, exactly.
The standard is very high, the Size 9 remix is a classic in the truest sense of the word. It used to make the crowds go mental in my heydays clubbing. You do expect more from someone like babicz though.

Think babicz is totally off the boil. Used to hang off nearly every production of his a few years back. Don't even really bother nowadays. Faultless production but all became very samey.

Agree with that Bobby Babicz remix, totally forgettable, shame as Chutney is a right old tune.

i like it in the context of the mix, but i like a good acid groove too and i don't think it particularly needs to go anywhere.

Loved it in the context of the mix, then listened to it on it's own and thought it was dull. Digweed has done that before, I rarely ever save any tracks from his Live In digireleases, while usually really enjoying the mixes.

8 pages that can be summed up with "meh".

Any other tracks that should be listened to, besides Chutney and Heaven Scent? Gave the Halo Varga remix a couple of minutes, was disappointed. Hoped for dubby west coast house, it wasn't.
Will give the mixes a listen once Diggers puts it up on iTunes.

I think listening to the mixes works better. Monkey Safari remix of King Unique and the Satoshi Fumi-track are both 5/5 though.
