completely agree. he was brilliant, but disappeared around the same time that burridge drifted off. I still listen to his dig deeper sets a lot more than any of the club sets he has posted. 24-7 disc1 and 2002 essential mix were absolutely amazing and still stand the test of time. I think that happened to all of the so called Nubreed DJ's. Hopefully they will have capitalised on their popularity in the 2000's. Circoloco, cocoon etc started to take over and people started to have more interest in other DJ's. [/quote The curse of global underground nubreed

I think with Howells, he was always more suited to the warm up slot playing interesting stuff across loads of genres (remember when he used to start his sets with soul and funk stuff and build from there?). When he became the headliner and started wellying it out, his sets kind of lost something that made him great in the first place. Stopped wondering where he got his music from and hearing stuff no one else was playing. Reckon he's still got it like - Would love to hear a 12 hour all nighter from him these days.

His 2002 set from Womb is excellent. Proper peak time stuff. That rework of Gandhi Khan is brilliant.

The curse of global underground nubreed Not just them. Zabiela seems to be a lot quieter these days too. Does anyone remember One+One? What a trainwreck that was. Nic Fanciulli jumping on on any bandwagon available.
