Loved the indian series stein did. Have only seen bits and pieces of the mexican one.
Interesting you say his restaurant is excellent, any time i see him cook on tv, his food doesn't look that appetising, the indian dishes looked great but i mean his UK food, especially some of the fish dishes.

I've not really seen much of his cooking stuff in the UK - loved the India and Mexico ones. I've got both books and there are some blinding meals in there.
His restaurant is definitely worth a look - the missus loved it an all, which is half the battle.

Apparently he hates it when you call it Padstein. The humourless twat! I'll go Harvester instead.

Thought you were an Eastbourne lad, Matty? I've been back in London for nearly three years Big Fella. Shame about that place going under; it's been a while since I was there so not quite with the theme of the thread, but a good spot is always worth passing on, non? btw Rossi go play in traffic, you wetwipe Only on your third edit now Matty chops

Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant in Padstow is top notch. Simple, yes - but with such good local raw ingredients, wouldn't want it any other way. The roast turbot with Hollandaise that's been a fixture on their menu for years is a thing of simplistic and utterly delicious beauty...

I was underwhelmed by his fish restaurant in Barnes...and the reviews I've seen are not exactly gushing either.

Anyone like to speak up and recommend some decent spots in Liverpool for good grub?

The only time I've eaten out in Liverpool I frequented a tapas place that was popular with both Liverpool and Everton players, I have no idea what it was called.
Hope that helps.

I've only ever been to Liverpool for the football and I wouldn't recommend eating at either Anfield or Goodison Park.
I did enjoy a 4-0 (maybe 4-1) away win at Goodison Park just before Christmas quite a few years ago and I also enjoyed singing "Feed the Scousers"

I do remember buying some chips near Anfield that like the locals, were absolutely disgusting.
