Easily pleased in the White County, look at the portion sizes for one.

I like when the fish is not with vinegar, better with lemon slices. Vinegar sounds a bit street cheapo for me.

Isee! Vinegar is for the chips is logic, also the ketchup and things like that have big amount of vinegar in them.
But wine-vinegar, or industrial one? I still feel a bit odd that vinagar stuff.

Oh I've tried their Worchestshire sauce. Top ace. Malt vinegar, lemon vinegar, brewed. Yummy

Those chips look awful in the photo.
I doubt they tested Aldo's in Uphall.

That pic looks horrific. Curry sauce side with a fish supper. Mushy peas with vinegar on them. Two rounds of bread and butter. Mug of tea.
Ps. An english chippy isn't gonna win best UK chippy, yet to eat out of one that stacks up against the ones over here.
You philistines think a pastie is something that comes from cornwall, don't you?

The vinegar is for the chips really MG Is right, I'm not happy if they don't essentially separate the chips and fish, and salt and vinegar only the chips. No chippy "worth its salt" would ruin the fish batter by lobbing a load of salt and vinegar on there. Mill Lane Fish Bar in Chester gets a recommendation for anyone passing through. I go out of my way, driving past two other outlets (the reputable Sealand Road chippy and the disreputable South View High Fry) to go there.

Can't remember the last time I had fish and chips, think my palette has changed.
