The new Maribou State album is stellar. Still need to give it more listens, but might be a favourite from this year so far.

New release from Paisley Park - Piano and a Microphone - features an odd selection of demos and voiceovers from Prince. One for Prince fans, but really enjoyed it and hope there more stuff to come out in the future

Echo and the Bunneymen have re-recorded a load of their best work and released it - The Stars, The Oceans & The Moon - crap album title, but the content's excellent, but McCullough sounds like he's just getting over a severe cold on most of the song mind. The piano version of Killing Moon is a belter.
Just downloaded Infinite Moment from The Field - looking forward to that later.

I also downloaded the field album last night after it popped up on Fb page. It was just under £9 on bandcamp which is a bargain for such quality music.can't wait to put it through the hifi and have a proper listen.

Can see where you're coming from with that, pretty much the same chill vibe through out. Still, it's filled with really infectious hooks and there's a lot of interesting stuff going on in those tracks.

Maribou State sounds a bit wishywashy and for-the-now type of banal electronica that one might expect from some young blokes growing up near Milton Keynes.
Am I missing anything, should I give it another go?

Give it another go - it’s a good listen, but not brilliant.
Really love that The Field album.
