Sometimes they edit the movie after initial trailers come out, so scenes/shots can be cut.
I forgot, I also watched a great doco on the NASA JPL Voyager missions, The Farthest. Really great stuff covering all the major points of the missions, with lots of interviews with NASA and JPL staff regarding it.

Saw Dunkirk yesterday and thought it was excellent, not my normal stuff especially with Harry Stiles and Lovey Branagh.

I've just finished streaming Downsizing. Very, very good. First half a brilliant satire on elitism, aspiration and the pointlessness of progress in a world which still can't address its basic problems; the final act is a little too sentimental for my taste but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Damon is pretty on point as a normie out of his depth in something he hasn't really prepared for. One major gripe: in the trailer there's a scene of Damon drinking vodka from an oversized bottle but it's not in the movie. What's that all about? The soundtrack is really cool too, don't know how they got away with it but it works - the actual downsizing sequence is bonkers, really daft and I did laugh out loud. Worth a second viewing to uncover some of the layers. Looking forward to that.

It got three stars in the Guardian - it's worth a gamble, especially given the reviewer. Inception was supposed to be rubbish too, but I loved it.

Saw Dunkirk yesterday and thought it was excellent, not my normal stuff especially with Harry Stiles and Lovey Branagh. Cant bring myself to watch it. Saw Blade Runner 2049 before, an absolute 3hr yawnfest, so i thought fuck it keep on track with my blockbuster afternoon. Dunkirk hardly has any dialogue and he keeps you on the the edge with music and action, great ride and a few lumps in the throat thrown in for good measure. Nolan also didn't spoil it by letting Yanks save the day like most modern war films made for the US market.

Watched Drive for the second time, over the weekend, as the Wife wanted it on.
Not a bad film. Soundtrack is excellent.

Also saw The Maze Runner with my 8yr old lad just before he went to bed last night.
Didn't realise the was a mechanical scary spider thing that kept him awake all night with nightmares, not in good books with her who got up with him. lol
Peppa Pig in the future for the little shit.

Harry Stiles is a better actor than Ryan Gosling though.

Love Drive - I've seen it quite a few times. Dunkirk was excellent an all - you'd love it Dermo.
