Jambo’s card’s just been marked Superhero films are starting to blend together in to a giant pile of rubbish, but I felt like Thor 3 had enough of Taika Waititi in it to make it pretty great. 8/10 is probably a more realistic score upon reflection. Making me want to watch What We Do in the Shadows again.

Given Jambo's laughable review here i think it prudent that someone should begin a special thread - like previously, where by the mentally weak can exchange their views on Thor or cartoons or paddington or whatever .I cant be dealing with reviews on this kind of shite. Especially by someone that is so removed from reality that he would actually give it an 8/10.Crazy stuff

The Accountant: admittedly, I only watched 40 mins or so of this absolute fucking squawker of a flick. Ben Affleck - our old friend - plays an (apparently) autistic bean counter who is also some kind of handy fucker with a Glock. I say "apparently" as it's hard to tell the difference from an actor whose range of facial expressions go from mildly-confused to about-to-cry. It's basically Rainman meets Jason Bourne and is incredibly awful. Avoid like Smallman at a gig. 1/10
The Way Back: decent enough yarn about a group of lads who escape from a Gulag in Siberia and walk to India. Not exactly your Saturday morning stroll. Ed Harris and Colin Farrell star, with Fardeller sporting a Russian accent based on Chekhov from Star Trek. 5/10
It's A Wonderful Life: I've seen the last 40 mins or so a hundred times but decided to watch the whole shebang the other night. And I could easily have stuck to the last 40 mins. We know the score, heart-warming Xmas tale etc....but overall it drags a bit and Jimmy Stewart's gosh golly accent is a tad grating. Still, worth a look in full 5/10
Star Trek: not sure which one as they're on a loop. As a clue, the ever-annoying Simon Pegg is in it, playing Scottie with a god awful accent. And he does what he does in every film, just with a shit accent. Dire stuff all round. A bonus is Thandie Newton playing Uhuru: she doesn't get her tits oot but we saw them aplenty in Westworld. 2/10

I also wartched Trading Places and True Lies, both of which - coincidentally- feature Jamie Lee Curtis getting her kit off. Although ever so slightly man-faced, she was as fit as a butcher's dog.
