Lorenzo Senni - The Shape Of Trance To Come (Warp) Meh; I don't quite get how Senni has gotten to where he has, I think his music is utterly inconsequential, and when he draws on "trance" music it is often the more cheap and cheesy kind. His label mate on Warp, Oneohtrix Point Never, eats him for breakfast... as an example, from the last few years 'Mutant Standard' is much more of a contender for classic status (though even then I wouldn't count it as a classic as it's not even OPN's best work - his back catalog, on Warp or otherwise, is ridiculous).

the replant of rob hood's "never grow old" immediately comes to mind. before it's release all the heavy hitters were smashing it, people were going crazy to id it, and last summer it was played in multiple sets at movement. the original mix is cool too, but the replant took it to a different level.

Bring U Back Forgiven With My Luv Another Way Back Bit miffed I've bought what I thought was the whole album to find they are missing and only available via Bandcamp, meaning buy the digi album a second time

they are pretty good. they sound exactly the same as the other tunes. "bring u back" is one of the better songs on the album, imo.
but i mean, the whole album is pretty samey. not much change or deviation between tunes, which i am totally ok with. i hate when djs make albums that are all "what an album should be" with 3 ambient tracks, an electro track, and blah blah blah. this is an album is dj seinfeld style stompers, and thats exactly what i was after.

Since 2008, when I found new interest in dance music and I would spend fortunes in digital tracks and vinyl, I can remember many, many great tracks. But Classics?

I did go to correct you there with Superpitcher’s remix of Along the Wire (which is my favourite tune of all-time, by the way), but that’s thing is 14 years old. Fuck my old boots.

Are you saying it shouldn't be my favourite track of all-time? Do you know what it should be? I'm all ears, Amps.
