How the fuck did he get a ticket for the Ball in the first place?!... "Bryant has a criminal history including burglary, assault and car theft, according to court records. In 2012, a Los Angeles judge sentenced him to a year in jail after he pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor counts of burglary and two counts of disobeying a court order. The case was briefly suspended until the court could determine that he was mentally competent to enter a plea, records show. In 2001, Bryant was sentenced to two years of probation in Oregon for assault, theft, and criminal mischief. In 2000, he was convicted in Oregon of criminal trespassing. Bryant was also convicted of car theft in Los Angeles in 1995, according to court records. In that case, he was sentenced to 180 days in county jail." variety.com/2018/film/news/frances-mcdormand-oscar-stolen-thief-arrested-1202718123/

I think The Florida Project was probably the best film I saw last year. Though Get Out should have one just because there has never been anything like it.
Definitely wasn't 'Grinding Nemo.'

Another vintage year for The Oscars.
Olivia Coleman deserves hers for Tyranasaur all those years ago, so no beef there. Bohemian Rhapsody and Green Book? Roma got something at least, but fucking hell, imagine losing best picture to Bohemian Rhapsody?
Jesus Christ.

Just like Prog House and The Brits, The Oscars peaked in the mid to late 90's and has been on a downhill trajectory ever since.

I rewatched Bladerunner 2049 last night. Criminally underrated I reckon.
The soundtrack to the sea wall scene at the climax is incredible. This one:

I think we can all agree that this was the year the academy tried to modernize the Oscars to get the ratings up with "da kidz" by taking crystal meth.
