You get enjoyment out of watching those cretins, Wally? How is that even possible? All of them, and I mean all of them, from both sides, should be set free in a field with only light rations to hand and then hunted down using broken bottles for weapons.

Get enjoyment of watching reality smack stupid fact denying cunts in the face for sure. The UK capitulated on absolutely fucking everything - exactly as the "remoaners" said would happen. Glad the conversation has shifted to "Why the fuck are we bothering with this then?" now too.

Headline just come up
"Theresa May and the EU have announced that a breakthrough deal has finally been reached on Irish border with EU".
Can anyone find anything anywhere what the'breakthrough' deal with the border actually is???

Wonder how the Scots are feeling at the moment - NI effectively gets to stay in the EU while they don't despite being totally remain.

Are we keeping this Brexit thread going to annoy Dermo? ๐ If Dermo is childish enough to get annoyed over such a thing, then sure, why not. What a fucking whopper that guy is.

NI aren't getting to stay in the EU we are still under same terms as the rest of the UK so no special status but its good for trade north south and east west now. Mainland UK is NI biggest market makes up close to 80% we do very little trade with EU and ROI so to make a border in the Irish sea would of been disastrous.

Anyone born in the island of Ireland can apply for EU citizenship. That's something that's being taken away from the rest of the UK.

Are we keeping this Brexit thread going to annoy Dermo? ๐ it's like parents getting divorced and fighting over the kids.

I may be new here so please forgive my arrogance, but Brexit is a very important subject and as such could we merge the threads please? Political amendments on this scale are far more important/interesting and worthy of discussion than tiffs between thread starters. Let's have one thread because there's much more to come to discuss - don't care which one is chosen as the lead.
To move onto topic, I'm centre-right and usually vote Conservative but I couldn't this time around because I'm a staunch pro-European and I think Brexit is a disaster. As such I was planning to vote Lib Dem at the last election but when it came to the crunch I couldn't vote for them either because of their severe lack of ambition. They had a golden opportunity to make headway but failed because of their weak leader and insipid campaign. They should have dropped the second referendum nonsense they continue to push and stood outright on cancelling Brexit altogether if they won - that result would have overridden the referendum and we wouldn't be in the ludicrous situation where we are now. Even if they didn't win, it would have still reestablished them as a political force and ensured that they wouldn't be perceived as the complete shambles that they're widely (and correctly) considered to be today.
Ideally, I'd like to vote for a party that espouses the politics of Michael Heseltine or Ken Clarke but unfortunately there was nothing that represented that on the ballot paper during the last election. I'm now hoping that over the coming months/years something will. That could either be a massive overhaul of the Conservative party (unlikely in it's current makeup but actually possible under certain circumstances) or the formation of a new centrist party (e.g. something similar to Macron's En Marche).
During the last election I spoiled my ballot for the first (and hopefully only) time. Had some fun with it though - this is what I wrote over each candidate I had to choose from in the Manchester Central constituency:
Tories: No Brexit in my name Labour: Economically insane Lib Dem: Severely lacking ambition Green: Nice but dim UKIP: Not nice, still dim Pirate Party: Bless
Yesterday's news that means the UK essentially keeps single market access and remains within the customs union whilst we sort out any "transition" agreement is very welcome. It's the only sensible economic decision and will hopefully result in the UK returning as a full member of the EU sooner rather than later. We'll go through at least one General Election during this "transition" period and all it'll take is a party standing on a rejoin platform to put this insanity to bed once and for all.
We can but hope...

No major political party will make a move to counter the will of the fucking people in their manifestos in a general election. The only hope weโve got is another referendum really, isnโt it?

If there was a God, any deity i could fucking well hang My hat on, then for fucks sake What i wouldn't give for someone like the dear departed Alex higgins to walk up to juncker as he is boring the living shit out of us in yet another endless speech about what cunts we all are in England, with Alex, Completely off his skate, headbutting him while juncker drones on about charging the english taxpayer 27 million quid to safeguard the welfare of bees in Heraklion, before old alex breaks down in tears at the state of his marriage, not seeing his kids and a large tax bill from the HMRC.
