I may be a bit late to the party here but: Please explain this phenomenon.
Especially Zackster, who I can imagine having gone through a juggalo 'phase'.

They're the white boy rap equivalent of the Sasha/Digweed Facebook fan page.

In all honesty, I don't really get all the flack thrown their way. Unless I'm totally out of the loop. A bunch of dorks who like terrible music? They'd fit in right here. They've found a little community for each other and who am I to judge. Never done anything to me. I mean, we allow Bronies to exist. If they want to fatten themselves up on Fayo and wear stupid make-up, have at it in my book. And how can one not find this hilarious...
Not sure if there's a Brit equivalent. Maybe those Donk fellows from Bolton.

not entirely sure. like jon said, they are icp fans, but idk what the appeal is. of all my questionable decisions, listening to icp was never one. it's some weird mix of rap, fat girl goth, halloween, and hippy fest all mixed together. despite the look and average intelligence level, i think their deal is mostly good vibes and togetherness. they love faygo soda, i know that much. there was an episode of these mediocre comedy central show, the name escapes me, that did a whole episode about juggalos.

I just think it's one of those instances where the media zeitgeist gets caught up in a certain narrative of association that, in actuality, doesn't hold much weight. Remember all the hullabaloo around Marilyn Manson after Columbine? Just because fans of something do something stupid doesn't mean there's some sort of coordinated effort. The manner in which "gangs" are portrayed by media and people in general is also stupid. Most of these outfits are a loose collection of friends selling coke and dope on a corner and whatever. They can be violent, sure, but most are not ran by Stringer Bell. Law enforcement classifying somebody as something has little to do with reality, but rather a public means of gaining influence with the district attorneys office, who are often wary of prosecuting young people. You throw a gang injunction on there, well, now the DA has a perception problem if they don't take the case to court. Juggalos are the sort of "concern" manufactured when we don't have more important issues to worry about.
