I've just bought a great Lebanese cook book. just got to learn how to make Tahini sauce from scratch & i'm good to go. It's quite easy mate but it's one of those things I find you spend too much time and money on and then it's not as good as a decent bought one. Incidentally we do make our own pesto though!

You’re right. It felt petty. Dont back down mate. Double down and insult him again. Make it proper Indian with something like 'Motherfucker! I fuck your mother ha ha!'

I've got a thing about buying stuff in jars. I once had to buy some pesto out of a jar. It was horrid. Never again.

Yeh it's defo not as nice as made stuff at home. I don't find that with tahini though. There's some really good ones round here. We are inundated with middle eastern types here though so it's kind of not such a surprise.

I love Turkish pide and lahmacun etc. I've got a Turkish bakery round the corner that does all that. Really hope it survives the current situation as it's cheap as chips and brilliant scran. Missing the baklava with my morning coffee too. Fuck. Hang tough brother.

The missus who is a traditional Turkish woman in that she loves cooking, has been cooking non stop for all meals. I don't know what half the stuff is but I'm having a great fucking time. She currently has a Ramazan Pide in the oven, it's a traditional bread made during Ramadan. The smell of cooking bread wafting through the house is underrated. How’s her lahmacun, Liqui? We've never had it at home, there's a great kebap place 5 mins away so we just go there for the lahmacun. Fresh out of a proper oven is the only way to go.
