Have used some v expensive pans over the years, but my experience is that they still need replacing with a scary degree of frequency. Past 5 years or so, I've used a much cheaper option from Tefal - they still need regular replacement, but I at least don't have to remortgage the house when they do... Tefal Ingenio

Not really a debate just common sense. Have a guess what, if you use a pan once a week it will last 7 times longer than if you use it daily.

But they offer 10 ,15 and lifetime guarantees which negates your argument. Some of them are not cheap at all and still last fuck all time.

My missus sometimes put the frying pan in the top of the dishwasher.
In fact come to think of it her dishwasher game is pretty shoddy.

Tefal IngenioI'll have a look into these. We had the Tefal Jamie Oliver professional series and they were ok but then they changed the design and they were absolutely wank. They then went from life to 10 year warranty. Also their excellent customer service went from Oz based to indian fuckwits overnight and it just made the whole process impossible. Especially when their MO became obvious that just tell them they aren't covered. Wankers.

For some reason I've always ended up with gorgeous Dorises who are absolutely fantastic cooks.
Le Creuset seems to be the go to for them.

No idea on this one. We got a nice set as a wedding present. Copper bottoms and all that jazz. However we've got a Le Creuset steak pan & casserole pot. Both weigh a fucking ton.

Copper doesn't work in induction though or we would still be using ours. Induction is mentally good. We have a Neff one and it's absolutely brilliant.
