It’s a minefield out there. Any recommendations on a small mixer that doubles up as very basic midi controller to use with Rekordbox on my MacBook?
I can’t always get access to the set-up in the kitchen and today is an irritating case in point.

Cheers fellas. Dan, do you use it with Rekordbox?
Does it just need a driver and a usb into the laptop?

Mate, I use it with an audio 6 traktor scratch.
Never used rekordbox.
Maybe a Traktor Z2 might be a good option for what your after?

Agree with the 23c. But you’d need a controller too. X1s can be mapped to rekordbox, plus the mk1s are pretty cheap now

Cheers Dan - got one of those that I’ve lent out, but I reckon I’ll be happy with either an all-in-one mixer/controller or just a mixer - it’s just for pissing around when I can’t be arsed firing everything up

Faderfox DJ4? Faderfoxes aren't for everyone, mind. I don't use Rekordbox and haven't used a Faderfox since DJ2 but...it's a nifty mini midi controller and I'd be all over it like Everton on the attack. JunoDo check the spec and dimensions - it's about the size of one of your faves Wilbur Smiths latest (paperback).

Used to have a Faderfox back in the day - took me about a year to work out how it worked with Ableton. I’ll have a little look - good shout Hitachi.

...seen the Reloop Mixtour? Owned one for a little while before I moved from Traktor, but mappable to Rekordbox too I believe, nice little unit: www.reloop.com/reloop-mixtour

...they are great, but not really a mixer, more like a transport-contoller, for cue/play/FX etc. brilliant with Traktor Scratch or with an external mixer.
The Z1 was the NI mini mixer, but I found the faders a bit plasticky compared to the Reloop I linked above.
