To be fair Yant, the UK invented Indian food.

I happened to go with a group for people from India. Who also happened to think it was excellent. Cheers. They must be thickets from India.

I bet they were thinking "not only is this clown making us eat absolutely dreadful Indian food and in an unbelievably nauseous setting, he's also wearing some of the worst trabs known to man."

I happened to go with a group for people from India. Who also happened to think it was excellent. Cheers. They must be thickets from India. There was a guy from Mumbai in my regular Dishoom group and he liked it there although he did acknowledge it wasn't precisely authentic (which suits me tbh). And this guy was definitely not a thicket, he was very highly educated /borderline genius and really well travelled. Look, I know Dishoom isn't some high-end, pretentious trendy place and I recognise that it's clearly not to everyone's taste.... as evidenced in this thread - the people saying its shit, while cunts to a man, are probably not all totally wrong. But I have to say, having been there like twenty times: I think it's good. The one in Edinburgh, I don't care what anyone says, the venue and views are absolutely stunning, the breakfasts are fucking nice and reasonably priced, the coffee is damn good and the staff are absolutely spot on. I'll be back @dishoom soon.

Iβll give you the breakfast. Thereβs one really near work and Iβve had to go quite a few times - itβs not for me, itβs bland and thereβs so much better stuff out there.

All that talk about Bombay made me realize I just went to an insanely good restaurant over there. Modern Goan/Portuguese Cuisine: www.opedromumbai.com/If you're ever in the city, it's highly recommended. Same guys also have a place called Bombay Canteen, which is equally good: thebombaycanteen.com/https://www.instagram.com/p/B7nUxxfJKMd ^Red Snapper Ceviche, Choriz Chilli Taco, Roasted Bone Marrow in Tamarind Curry, Bacon Chorizo Pulao and Rava Fried Pomfret. We had Crispy Lamb Chops too, but we destroyed that before i could take a pic.

Smallman, can you give us a heads up BEFORE you go to these restaurants?
Then I can call them and cancel your booking an hour before you arrive.

When it comes to the London restaurant scene, no one does it better than me.
Not even Jay Rayner.
Properly all over it.

Ed, The Delaunay is shite - full of imbecile tourists and itβs no coincidence itβs a sister restaurant The Wolseley.
