Put this one out a couple of weeks ago. Would love to hear if anyone's into it / what they don't think works / if any q's re synths etc.

Bit random but my daughter is showing am interest. Anyone have any recommendations for something entry level she could try out. Preferably something eye pad based . She's 9 so nothing too complicated! maybe just take her to a store with demo machines and let her just play around with different equipment and see what she takes to. i would assume a 9 year old would enjoy pressing buttons/keys and twiddling knobs over an ipad app, but what do i know, i don't have kids. we've just had our first (this week!). Many at risk wires in the studio - but hopefully I'll have a strategy by the time he gets old enough. At that age it's got to be about having fun. Teenage engineering have what seem to be a few cool toys (which daddy can also play with). Not seen them in the flesh but think that's where they are coming from. These are the new ones from looking at their website. teenage.engineering/products/po/metal

Thanks. I've finished and hate it. I did put it up on SC but came to my senses very quickly and pulled it. Not before one of those dodgy pretending-to-be-a-label, downloaded the full fucking wav. So it might be doing the rounds under another name. Or maybe and most likely not!

Deffo a bit of fatigue and tried putting too many elements into it. You know what it's like when you've listened to something 100 times, tweaking a bit here and there. Deffo lost direction on it. Might revisit if I can find the strength.

The storage drive, where I keep all the soft synth / sample libraries failed a couple of weeks ago. Happily I sync all my projects etc in the cloud but it's still been a real ball ache reconstituting it this week (while on pat leave...). Hopefully I won't need to get it professionally recovered but I'm thinking there could be some user sounds I've cooked up which could be missing. Back it up (if you don't want to lose it)!

Yeah, like I say pretty much everything is automatically sync-ed but it's taken me about 4 days solid to get back to pretty much where I was before it failed. It was a 2014 drive so was 'well outside of its warranty'.

thanks for sharing and keep in mind that i'm in no way qualified to be giving you advice.
it's not bad, works well as a closing track. the biggest things that stood out to me were mix related ... it sounds a bit cluttered at times (too many mid-high/highs at the same time), which could be resolved though arrangement choices, and it's a little thin, needs a bassline (or at least a sub layer) to fill out the spectrum.
