Bridge of Spies. Standard Spielberg/ Hanks - fodder in good and in bad. Enjoyable way to spend 2 hours, if nothing else. Berlin wall getting built tracking shot was cool though.

Watched The Thing (1981) last night. Alright I suppose. By the end of the film I was still thinking about the Norwegian in the helicopter at the start and how he was the worst shooter of a rifle I'd ever seen.

Saw Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri the other night.
Absolutely fantastic and there is a great scene where Frances MacDormand gets out of her car and kicks a girl in the cunt.

A lot of these well-feted Oscarbait movies have been disappointing, I feel.
Three Billboards 7/10. Very funny in parts, and black as Fadas's heart, but ultimately didn't add up to much Lady Bird. 6/10. There are already 100 versions of this movie. Overrated. The Shape of Water. 6/10. Amelie beds the creature from the black lagoon? Swerve. Not 1/100 of Pan's Labyrinth. The Disaster Artist. 5/10. Didn't even get through it. Franco's accent was ridiculous and not the least bit believable. Never seen The Room.
Still have hope for The Florida Project and Call Me by Your Name
