Tarkovsky 'Stalker' - usually I enjoy twisted arthouse type movies, but jeez this was dull as dishwater... no idea why it's earned such a notorious reputation; I'm guessing the late 70s had nothing better: 5/10
'Frank' - fun: 7.5/10
'Black Swan' - nicely done, plus Natalie Portman: 7.5/10
'Leaving Las Vegas' - if it didn't have Nicolas Cage then this would be a tedious non-event of a movie, but it has Nicolas Cage, so: 6/10
'Speed' - yeah it's pretty stupid, but it turns out to be a genuinely thrilling thriller. I'd also never seen the appeal of Sandra Bullock before, but she's charming in this: 7/10
'Ma Vie Da Courgette' (My Life as a Courgette) - surprisingly good, genuinely amusing, moving and insightful: 7.5/10
'Strangers on a Train' - "Criss-cross!": 8/10
