The tax thing is a possible driver. Certainly behind the names in Government currently being amongst the richest people ever to have held high office. But, its easier to drive the bus when its full than not.
But, why hasnt this been in the msm or going viral or being pushed in any large numbers?
See Bercow has denied MV4 today because the government pulled out of it on Saturday. Not sure where this ends up?

I think there are quite a lot of people from both camps who are genuinely so bored of the whole saga that they just want it done with one way or another and as soon as possible. The year is 2059. Sasha, still alive but now long since bald, has fallen out with Geoff Oakes after failing to show up to a Renaissance cruise around the Nordics and accidentally shagging Geoff's wife again, oops!. Smallman's pronouns are they/them/theirs. The British Prime Minister, a lesbien, visits Brussels to ask for the annual "extension of the Brexits", wearing a ceremonial blonde wig and firing laser beams out of her flying car. Brian May's grandson plays the national anthem on an antique Korg synthesizer. No one quite remembers where or how the tradition originated. However, every year it attracts thousands of wealthy tourists from all over the world.

Most likely because those in the higher chambers of media ownership and management are balls deep themselves and they control the message. I found that interview with Saviano, very interesting take on the state of play in the EU and UK.

He spiced it up with sasha and renaissance. So i think it gets a pass. Plus he's actually quite funny

Stewards Inquiry: the premiss of Mono's post was spotted in a Tweet two nights ago. Hands up, i didn’t see said tweet, it was actually a Matt Ford gag.
