Space X is most definitely not a scam. right... thats why they shoot sports cars into space. reenacting the opening scene from heavy metal is a sure sign of a company on the brink of putting a man on mars. and regarding tesla, the issue is that they are not making money, yet somehow the stock keeps going up. it's stock is worth more than other car companies. how? |

I wonder about Zackster, he's neither right wing nor left wing but on some kind of conspiracy wing that hasn't been labelled yet. I like it. no conspiracy theories. lots of people don't like elon musk. i don't like privatization of government programs. putting our space exploration partially in the hands of a headline grabbing billionaire falls into that category. a number of people i know and respect don't like or trust the guy. and they are not alone. just listen to the last episode of lovett or leave it to hear a concise summery of why elon musk sucks. |

Who knows, Dan. The same could've been said of Alexander Graham Bell or John Logie Baird. I'd rather sit on the fence and see what their inventions produce for us down the line before lumping them in with people like Branson or Trump, for example.

Poor(ish) comparisons as both Bell and Baird's offspring should perhaps be owning the world by now. Branson is a victim of his own hubris. His intentions have always been good, but the outcome has over taken him somewhat. At heart he is an old hippy.

Not trying to compare their financial achievements tbh, more their passion for producing products/ideas that nobody else has. Branson never really invented anything groundbreaking and innovative did he? Forget Trump, any excuse to bash that prick.

I think leaving things out like Musk's hyperloop system paper or the Tesla australian power plant back up battery system is a bit much - the guy is clearly not a charlatan or fraudster. He has multiple verified success born out scientific advancement.
