now that soundcloud has put in a 15 track limit on free users, i'll be jumping ship. any suggestions for decent alternatives? i'm thinking bandcamp, but i'm not sure it has the same community of people looking for new music.

Think Ascent is your best track yet. Really like Terrace as well.  Why don't you just host your best tracks on Bandcamp as an album? You've accumulated enough tracks. I'd deffo buy it. The only thing you need to do is to swap to a Business Account in Paypal. |

Bandcamp would be a perfect place for you. You'll be able to make a bit of money out of you're music. I'm not sure how much commission they take. Its a bit like soundcloud where you have to build up your followers etc. |

thanks, i think bandcamp and youtube will be my new homes. now to figure out how to create videos for my music. this hobby is slowly becoming work haha.

appreciate the feedback and i'm glad you liked them. it looks like soundcloud has pulled the restrictions, but i think i'm still going to add a bandcamp profile too and do exactly as you said. i've got enough material to start a back catalogue, then release new stuff as i finish it.

...realise this isn't a board-member's production, so possibly not in the spirit of the thread, but this was the track I road tested my new monitors with. I think the production is absolutely staggering... around 4-minutes, when that bass comes in  |

second, does anyone have simple suggestions for creating a banner, editing text over pictures, etc? i'm useless with that stuff, so the easier the better.

thank you kindly. i need to come up with a simple banner (975x180), just artist name over a texture. any software or website you know of that's simple to use and hopefully free?
edit: i found a really simple one to use for now
