Messed about on this last month at a house party. Really takes some effort to trainwreck on the thing. But felt it was a bit overpriced.  there is no way I would rock up to a house party with that thing!!! Imagine a pint of port laced with campari and speed being knocked all over it! |

Bought a used pair of M-Audio B5X's from a co-worker. He's half of Morphology, and a full on electro and vinyl purist, so it makes me happy to know that I'm playing prog with Traktor on monitors that have been used to make their records.
They sound really good BTW, I don't know why I was under the impression that M-Audio is a shit brand.

Any recommendations regarding carts ? I’m using Shure M44s at the moment. Is it worth shelling out more for some of the higher end Ortofon concordes? My audio path is hardly high end - Xone 62 into Forstex monitors .

My audio path is hardly high end - Xone 62 into Forstex monitors . been a while since I had my 1200's but I loved the concordes - not only for the sound but I found they stuck to the groove better than standard cartridges. Mine didn't work out too expensive as I bought mine second hand and just bought new stylus's and then when I sold my decks I sold the concordes for more than I bought them for. |

Loving your silence in the cricket thread dermo. Came on here after getting it so wrong, working yourself up about nothing really. haha.
All I meant was that it seemed easier pulling out of a ropey mix on it, much easier compared to my Xone 42. I'm no tech wizard when it comes to gadgetry, but mixing on it and what was coming out of the speaker, just seemed to be much smoother.
