LA 92 is a brilliant documentary. Lots of footage I'd never seen before. Florence and Normandie was a very scary area when it kicked off.

Wild Wild Country was really good. I did watch it all in one sitting. It's amazing nobody's made a movie of the story. Did a couple of episodes last night - so far, so good. Have no clue what Osho is about (besides the random stories about orgies and such coming out of the Pune Ashram), so it was good to get a 101 on it. Interesting that it's produced by the Duplass brothers, those guys are really doing well for themselves.

First episode dragged a little since it was all setting the background.

Watched Annihilation on Friday night. Enjoyed it. Visually stunning, and plenty of what happened there moments. 8/10
Followed that with Ricky Gervais and as usual he is very hit and miss. I don't think he is funny enough to carry a stand-up and I felt that others have covered the same topics in the show much funnier and nearer the mark. 6/10

Definitely not even close to as good as Chappelle's specials, but slightly better than Chris Rock.

Agree with you on Ricky Gervais. It wasn't a waste of time, but it wasn't far away. He was wearing some fucking horrific trabbs.

His whole get-up is shocking, not just his Ed Small-running shoe. He went on about not having kids, so what the fuck is he spending his millions on? Get yourself a fucking stylist man!
Rhousdog, I'd take Chris Rock's show over this any day.

Humanity was easily his worst stand up. Really not worth it

Annihilation was distinctly average. Can see why it got dropped from a cinema release outside the US. Big disappointment after Ex Machina being great. Think youre right here...they realised it was shite after filming and ditched the general release

Rhousdog, I'd take Chris Rock's show over this any day. Just couldn't get passed the first 20 mins. Will give it another twirl.

Dad jeans, black T-Shirt and horrendous trabs. I bet the ticket price for the show would yield a better outfit that what he was wearing ffs.

Saw that recent Chris Rock Netflix one and it could have been done 20 years ago. 'Not saying it is hard being black but... repeat and rinse..

Personally I liked the Chris Rock one - especially the second half when he got onto the more personal stuff, although I have always liked him as a stand up so am probably biased. Going to give the Ricky Gervais one a whirl this week. Really liked The Office, a lot of the podcasts with Merchant and Karl, and even Ghost Town I thought was ok. Then again, he's also done some things I really dislike. Realise its part of his "persona", but he can go from being absolutely brilliant to very annoying, very quickly.

"Extras" was probably the best thing I've seen from Gervais. That was great TV.
