Last saw him play at Phonox, the ALFOS gigs I saw him at were the best, just stellar music all night long.

I have never knowingly gone out of my way to see Weatherall. But, I'm pretty sure that I have seen him play either at the likes of Strutt, Leisure Lounge, Club UK or any multitude of House and Techno raves I frequented in the mid-90s. I have, however, got plenty of his productions from the early 90s. Gutting that I've never done that, to be honest, but it seems that I'm not the only person who is in the same boat. Kinda thought he'd be around forever type of thing and I'd catch him next time, or the next time.

Remember catching Two Lone Swordsmen at Sankeys and not being that overwhelmed, seen him numerous times but i think the last time was at the (one of the) first Warehouse Projects where he was dressed like a bus conductor.

He was in Helsinki on January 17th and I didn't go because I was "tired."

Blood Sugar on a thursday night '96. Two things stand out... I met Michelle and Weatherall played this.
The latter event lives on.

disappointed that i never got to see the man play live. 56 years is too young, but he impacted a lot of people in that short time. I can't believe that I've never seen him play, but I can't remember specifically seeing him on any occasion... although that doesn't count for much as I once forgot that I had ever seen Orbital, when I had seen them on several occasions. it's impressive the things we're capable of forgetting, though chemical enhancements don't hurt lol.
the list of djs i should've seen but haven't is impressively long. it was a bit different 20 years ago, but these days i'm pretty much relegated to traveling to see anyone of note.

Got sent this by a mate back home, a little anecdote about his diversity..
"We saw him in The Bernard Shaw just before Christmas, he was in great form, even Aiden was dancing. I'm a little bit depressed today to be honest. Jesus I remember when he played the student union in UCD in 98, he banged out a techno set and left the place in ribbons, later on that night he played a trip-hop set in the Kitchen and he had the place in the palm of his hand. Such a brilliant DJ. He'll be missed."
Heno, were you at that Kitchen gig? I remember hearing about it at the time, I think it was Aoife Nic Canna he played with.

His quote in muzik mag about Patrick Prinns...a man who once claimed he could remix a fart.
(Weatherall) Well, it sounds like he's done it with his recent track.

Seen him in the twisted pepper a few times to but his stand out sets were imo in the pod for bodytonic absolute top notch early on. He caught me and my mates in our prime!
