The JC Working from home thread

I've been livestreaming my mornings on Facebook live since last week. Playing a few tunes in the background but not mixing just selecting whilst musing about the world and having a little laugh and joke. Once Bermuda and the US get on line then work starts to pick up with calls and emails to answer. Drafting contracts that need to be signed which other than not having two large screens to proof on isnt too much of a problem and the spreadsheet I work off is still legible on my Surface.

Having a 4 and 7 added to the mix today isnt always helpful but they've been pretty good so far with tasks. My son is keeping a diary which keeps him quiet in the mornings but getting them outside is important. I did manage to mow my lawn just now. It's still so wet under the surface after our ridiculously wet Autumn/Winter.

I deleted all social media on my phone and it’s worked wonders for my stress and constantly checking the phone. If I could block any access to stock market numbers it would be even better.

Fair point steely. But usually just in the evening. Plus this is more about conversation than an information overload of doom and death.

Having a shocker. I work in the UK 3 weeks out of every 10, the rest in the US. Usually stay with the in-laws as they have a big gaff and their internet is decent as I WFH. Have an office setup there. Sorted.

As my wife is a vet and she locums when back here , she was crapping it staying with her folks due to the consults she does and the age of her parents

Cut a long story short we decamped to an air bnb in the middle of nowhere with 3mbs internet and horrendous 4G . I’ve resigned myself to abysmal productivity . That said the whole firm is struggling IT wise, some would say a result of decades of non-investment .

Agree limiting news consumption good for the state of mind . Any sane person knows what to do by now. Up to the police / army to cover the dumb fucks who still don’t get it and putting everyone at risk .

We get through the next 2 or 3 weeks think we should be ok. A chance for the people of this fair country to shine
