Ok so how has it affected your work load? Have you got any? How much have you got compared to actually being at work? What do you do? How has it affected your pay? Will you still have a job?
My workload is virtually non existent. I work in foreign investment within the constrution industry and 85% of my client base is greedy Chinese LOLz Herro!
I've had no instruction from above to do anything other than my usual work. So as that currently equals nothing im doing nothing. I'm usually inundated from clients pestering the minute I get in. I've opened 2 emails today. As far as I'm aware we are all getting paid full pay and nothing's changed . It's a big company that should be able to weather this. I may be wrong and they may decide to just bin a load of people but I can't see how they would benefit from having recruit again. I count myself lucky but you never know.
Forgot to add that I'm the shopping wanker of the house now. Wife isn't going out at all neither are the bin lids.

Imagine I’d be doing sweet fuck all in marketing at this point. And would guess my budgets were going to get slashed to ‘let’s go organic this year’. Haha no regrets quitting though.
My wife manages a team of 30 and has been working non-stop to transition them from office to work from home. This being India, there’s also a large chunk of employees that want to leave Bangalore for their home towns and villages to be close to their parents - so that’s another headache that needs to be managed. Volumes in terms of the actual work they do has gone down, but the wife is saying productivity has gone up.

I work in media/advertising and am stressed to living fuck trying to sort it out - 8-2 is mental busy, then eases off after that.
I worked from home on Friday and it's good to work with music on, but it certainly wasn't relaxed - it'll get easier as we just accept the problem and hang on for a few months, but until that point, it's going to continue to be stressful. Working from home from tomorrow for the foreseeable - I'll have to see how that goes. It'll fucking my training up, but at least we don't have young kids.

As I mentioned in the covid thread I was due to start a new job next Monday, but luckily I've managed to stay put.
We work with critical national infrastructure, so still working but I must admit its a lot less at home. I can travel to site if operationally required which isn't far away.
Currently sat in my garden enjoying some rays and sipping a coffee, beats the office that's for sure.
Hardest thing is 2 young kids to deal with, we did Joe Wicks PE lesson this morning which was good but pretty hard, rest of the day has been free play! When the rain comes back will be the real test.

Are your clients being aggressive with the advertising and spending on media, Grant?

Been working from home since last Monday at insistence of my client. Not fully utilised so fully expect the writing will be on the wall soon.
Started home schooling 9yo daughter today so booked a day off. WIll be interesting to see how the rest of the week pans out as I’m wfh and wife has to be in school. Programme board tomorrow could be interesting with a 9yo flitting in and out.
All trivial in the scheme of things, but can really feel the walls closing in from a mental well-being perspective.

Self-Employed Decorator. Got work this week but after that who knows. Had loads of cancellations due to clients not wanting me to work inside their houses until it's safe to do so.

Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson, 1st Viscount Nelson, 1st Duke of Bronté, The Most Honourable Order of the Bath didn't win the Battle of Trafalgar sitting at home watching the telly.
He was on the front line commanding the troops, which is exactly where i am and will be for the foreseeable future!

Something that I will always vividly remember from my England school days is how much we giggled and lol’d when we asked our history teacher to repeat the name of Nelson’s wife - Fanny Nesbit.
