One for the runners - some of the posts on here raise a smile - dickheads trying to fool people they've done super fast runs (including Phil Neville and Ross Barclay) when they've been sprinting and pausing the timer while they recover. twitter.com/stravawankers

Strava doesn't work like that. A segment time still runs if your device is paused, might be different in running, but I doubt it.

It used to but they've recently added "elapsed time" which doesn't stop and the pace graphs where you can see people stopping (in between the blue spikes when they are actually running). Loads of wankers have been exposed as lying fuckers.

They can do what they want for anything activity they want and they'll just look a cunt, but for segments and PBs, which is the main driver, you can't do that.

Not sure I'm following - you get wankers cheating to get segment best times:

Like anyone cares who gets the crown. It means nothing and everyone knows when someone has 'cheated'. There are no rules for KOMs other than just the fastest over the segment.
I've had a year off Strava but am back on it now and finding myself getting back into all the bullshit that goes with it.
Much prefer Garmin connect really, but no-one uses it like Strava.

The worst are the people that will log a run on their Garmin and log the same run on the app on their phone. Then upload both to double their mileage. The last year this has got worse. For some reason, there seems to be a trend of people (mainly Indians) walking down the shops and uploading that also as a run. You can always flag them.
