Grant == Si J Hunter confirmed. Sure, you can't cheat at running - it's still a wanker thing to do. How is it? I think people don't understand how it works. I'll bet that was part of a longer run too. You can't do something like that without being properly warmed-up for starters. lol - I think if some daft cunt went out and got warmed up, then did a longer run and pressed start / stop for just that 1m24s section to get the best time, they must have serious mental issues but hey ho - it's twitter so probs true.

The worst are the people that will log a run on their Garmin and log the same run on the app on their phone. Then upload both to double their mileage. The last year this has got worse. For some reason, there seems to be a trend of people (mainly Indians) walking down the shops and uploading that also as a run. You can always flag them. Lol, didn't know this was a thing! Brilliant.

One of them was a school teacher in Deli. He was running about 12 miles a day at 8:00/mi. He then walks the school corridors, around the playground, to and from work and to the shops and back. All normally 17:00/mi racking up another 15 miles. He joined one of my Strava running clubs. A club for locals and he had clearly never been to my town. When I flagged his walks, he got arsey. We had to kick him out of the club. He now tries to flag my legitimate runs, so I had to block him.

You aren't getting it - you can't do that on Strava segments - it's done on elapsed time, so if you stop or pause, that's counted.

You can only do that on your total workout

Nah mate, I think you're not getting it - of course you can do it - you can start running, then press start as you hit the start of the segment, do the segment, and press stop and save the activity. How the fuck is strava supposed to know you've really been running before or after you press stop / start and save the activity? lol. When was the last time you actually went for a run and used strava? But this is getting tedious for what was supposed to be a bit of light humour. You're right mate and stavawankers and their 45,000 followers are wrong about how it works. Top work.

We're talking about two different things here - I'm not talking about pausing it at all in this case.
The entire point of the main thread was exactly that though - people are pausing it for ages and then bragging about PBs = wankers.

I think it's enough to be called a Strava wanker when you post a 3km run that takes 30 minutes on Facebook. Or anything Strava actually.
