my first ep is out now on bandcamp, soundcloud, and youtube, will be up on spotify, apple music, and the rest tomorrow. the title track and 'time to go' are tech-houseish and 'hazy tomorrow' is an atmospheric acid groove track.
thanks in advance to everyone who takes the time to listen, hope you like it.

...quite honestly mate, the Ableton instruments are plenty to be getting on with in the short term, shitloads of tutorials online. There are some great free VST's if you really feel you need to go further, quite a few on here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=aS-k87FMp3E...Moog were doing a free MiniMoog VST not so long ago which sounds great if you want some out-of-the-box dance sounds

Gonna get the intro version of Ableton: www.ableton.com/en/shop/live/Anybody got any recommendations on a cheap ish soft synth to pick up to go with it? Preferably something with lots of online tutorials etc. i haven't tried uhe's free stuff, but i love diva ...
if you want samples, riemann is excellent, with lots of free stuff and samples from mars is a good, cheap option for classic drums. mars always has massive sales too, i can give you a code the next time they email one, let me know if you want it.

also, not flashy, but this is a great (free) spectrum tool ...
plus reverb has a ton of sample packs for free at the moment ...

I've actually had that before, which is what convinced me to get the starter version... Anyone have ay good reads on sound design / synthesis or the like? It's a little disheartening when everything sounds like a preset, and you have no real idea how to tailor the sound properly. this might be overkill, but it's thorough ...
if you want something more ableton specific and more of a strategy guide than sound design, this book is worth it ...
